CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Harvard men's tennis delivered on the final day of Chowderfest winning three of five doubles matches and ten of twelve singles matches.
Henry von der Schulenburg led the way for the Crimson defeating No. 103 Pablo Alemany (Memphis) 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 to finish the weekend undefeated (3-0) and capture the singles title.
"What a great weekend for college tennis. The level was extremely high, and it was just the preparation we needed for the coming fall events. Everyone improved over the three days of competition, and I thought we played our best tennis on the final day,"
Andrew Rueb '95, The Scott Mead '77 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Tennis said. "It is so fun to see the first years compete wearing the "H" on their shirts. They are a hard-working bunch and I look forward to watching them improve and grow over the coming years."
To begin the day the duos of
Harris Walker and
Melchior Delloye,
Steven Sun and von der Schulenburg, and
