CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 18 Harvard women's water polo opens its season this weekend at the Hoosier Invite in Bloomington, Indiana. The Crimson will play four games over a busy weekend to open its 2023 season before returning to Blodgett Pool the following weekend for the Bruno Classic.
The Crimson opens the season with two games on Saturday against Cal State East Bay at 11:45 a.m. and host No. 14 Indiana University at 6:00 p.m. To close out the Hoosier Invite, the Crimson will play Villanova at 8:00 a.m. before closing the tournament with McKendree University at 1:45 p.m.

Ted Minnis starts the 2023 season with 199 career wins as the head coach of the women's program.
• Harvard looks to build on its 23 wins from last season – which is good for the second-best season in program history. The Crimson fell in the CWPA championship to Michigan last season.
• The Crimson had four All-America selections in 2022 and three of which are returning for the 2023 season.

• Harvard has an all-time record of 5-1 against Cal State East Bay, 2-17 against Indiana, 30-2 against Villanova, and 1-0 against McKendree.
Next Up
The Crimson returns to Blodgett Pool for the Bruno Classic from Feb 4-5 with a four-game homestand. Harvard opens the classic on Saturday with Marist college at 9:00 a.m. and matchup with La Salle at 4:00 p.m. before closing the tournament on Sunday with Pomona-Pitzer at 11:30 a.m. and LIU at 3:00 p.m. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
