Harvard Varsity Club inducts 55th Hall of Fame Class

BOSTON, Mass. – On the evening of Oct. 14 at the Harvard Club of Boston, the Harvard Varsity Club (HVC) honored the Hall of Fame Class of 2023 in a celebration attended by more than 200 guests. In total, 11 varsity athletes joined the over 600 Harvard student-athletes already enshrined.

The HVC Hall of Fame induction is an annual October event emceed by a current Hall of Famer. Michael Giardi '94, HVC Hall of Fame Class of 2009, emceed the evening that honored the 11 athletes. Inductees included Jennifer Ahn '04 (field hockey), William Broadbent Jr. '06 (squash), Julie Chu '06-07 (ice hockey), John Cole '05 (swimming & diving), Cecil Cox '86 (football), David Cromwell '06 (swimming & diving), Zak Farkes '06 (baseball), Paul Gompers '86-87 (track & field/cross country), Jennifer Peyton McDavitt '06 (field hockey), Neil Rose '02 (football) and Matt Stehle '06 (basketball).

To be eligible for the HVC Hall of Fame, an athlete must have graduated from the College at least 15 years prior and "achieved greatness for multiple years while competing for the Crimson."
