CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis continued play at the ITA Northeast Regionals today with two rounds of singles competition. Overall, the Crimson posted an impressive eight wins across the day.
In the round of 64, the Crimson delivered strong performance across the board with all six players advancing to the next round.
Kavya Karra,
Stephanie Yakoff,
Holly Fischer, and
Natalie Block all registered dominant straight set wins.
In the next round Fischer and Kim continued their momentum with additional straight set wins to carry themselves into the final day. Fischer faced Addison Ahlstrom (Brown) and defeated the Ivy foe 6-2, 6-1.
Kim, also facing a fellow Ivy League opponent, posted a pair of 6-1 decisions to advance to the round 16.
Tomorrow the pair, along with Yakoff and Karra, will battle in the final singles and doubles matches of the weekend for a chance to punch their tickets to the ITA Northeast Super Regionals.
