CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Three Harvard men's lacrosse first year student athletes landed on the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshman Rankings this week ahead of their rookie seasons. The Long Island trio of
Jackson Greene,
Jack Speidell and
Jack Petersen were listed at no. 28, 38 and 51 on the list, respectively.
A four-star prospect out of St. Anthony's high school and Team 91 Long Island,
Jackson Greene collected the highest Crimson ranking on the list at no. 28. The right-handed midfielder was named a Nike high-school All-American before arriving in Cambridge where he will attempt to make an immediate impact on the Crimson offensive attack.
A high school teammate of Greene,
Jack Speidell also landed on the top 100 list, coming in at no. 38. The St. Anthony's and Team 91 Long Island product comes to Harvard after a successful high school career that netted him Nike National All-Star accolades. A 6'3 right-handed attack, Speidell also figures to make an impact in the offensive end this season for the Crimson.
Jack Petersen was the last Crimson representative on the list, coming in at no. 51. A Manhasset high school and Shore 2 Shore club lacrosse alum, Petersen collected a long list of accolades at the high school level including All-American, All-County, All-League and All-Region honors. The right-handed midfielder helped his Manhasset team to back-to-back state titles in 2022 and 2023 before arriving in Cambridge.
These three All-Americans will now look to leave their mark on Harvard at the collegiate level when the Crimson's season begins in mid-February.
