CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard women's water polo has released its 2024 schedule as
Ted Minnis and the Crimson women's program looks to build upon back-to-back trips to the CWPA Championship game. The Crimson will once again host the Bruno Classic and Harvard Invitational before traveling across the country throughout its 27-game season. The Crimson will host the CWPA Championship game to cap off the 2024 slate.
After returning from Greece for some preseason work, the Crimson open the 2024 campaign with the annual Bruno Classic at Blodgett Pool over the first weekend in February. Harvard will face Indiana and Wagner on Saturday before facing La Salle and Marist on Sunday.
Harvard then has its first road-trip of the season as it heads down to New Jersey for the Princeton Invite and a trio of games at DeNunzio Pool. The Crimson will face host Princeton on Feb. 17 before a date with Villanova later in the day. The women will wrap up the trip to New Jersey with La Salle on Sunday before returning home the next weekend for the Harvard Invitational.
Prior to the start of another busy weekend at Blodgett Pool, Harvard will play Brown in CWPA conference play on Feb. 23 before turning its attention towards Mercyhurst and UC Davis on Saturday, Feb. 24. Harvard closes the weekend Santa Clara and Wagner on Sunday.
Returning to conference play, the women will head back to DeNunzio Pool on Mar. 2 for a pair of CWPA matchups against Saint Francis and Bucknell before its first regular season matchup with Michigan on Sunday. The Crimson defeated the nationally ranked Wolverines last season in its last meeting on its way to the CWPA championship game.
Heading into the break, the Crimson will travel west and play four games over spring vacation starting with Arizona State in Tempe. Harvard them will head to San Diego for a pair of games against San Diego State and Stanford on Mar. 10. To close out the trip in California Harvard will face Long Beach State before returning to the east coast for more conference play.
The Crimson comes out of the break with another conference weekend in Pennsylvania with three more games hosted by Bucknell University. The Crimson meets the host Bisons in game one before a rematch with Michigan to close out the Saturday doubleheader. Harvard concludes the trip to Lewisburg with Saint Francis on Sunday.
Harvard will close out the remainder of the 2024 season at Blodgett Pool with another tilt against rival Princeton on Apr. 13 before closing the season with Brown on Apr. 19 in the last tune-up before the CWPA Championships.
Blodgett Pool will host the CWPA Championships this season with playoff action beginning on Apr. 26.
