CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard fought tooth and nail in their senior night against No. 9 Clarkson on Friday, Feb. 10 at Bright-Landry Hockey Center, but came up just short, falling 4-2.

How it Happened
- Clarkson got off to a quick start, scoring off a rebound after an Alex Pellicci save to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead.
- Despite the goal, Harvard only allowed three shots on goal halfway through the first.
- At the 11:30 mark of the first, Pellicci made an impressive save off a Clarkson breakaway by blocking the shot with her leg.
- Kyra Willoughby would end the first period with three blocked shots.
- Just over a minute into the second period, Ellie Bayard scored off a Shannon Hollands' faceoff win by flicking the puck over the goalie into the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
- Clarkson retook the lead just minutes later, scoring off another rebound from a Pellicci save.
- At the 17:43 mark of the second period, the Crimson would tie the game yet again, this time with a goal by Jenna MacDonald who launched a wrister that finds its way to the back of the net.
- In the third period, both teams battled hard with each team recording 10 shots on goal in the period.
- At the 8:02 mark of the third, the Golden Knights would bury a loose puck in front of the net on a power play to give them a 3-2 lead.
- At the 18:35 mark of the third, Harvard would pull Pellicci from net in an attempt to tie the game.
- However, Clarkson would score an empty netter to seal the match, ending the game 4-2.
Harvard Highlights
- Ellie Bayard recorded her fourth goal of the season. Hollands, who assisted on the goal, is now up to seven assists on the season.
- Jenna MacDonald scored her first goal of her career in the second period.
- Eva Dorr and Jade Arnone each assisted on the goal. For Dorr, this was her second assist of the season and for Arnone this was her fourth assist of the season.
- Macdonald also recorded four shots on goal in the game to lead the team.
- Senior Kyra Willoughby notched four blocks in the game to lead the team.
- Alex Pellicci recorded 26 saves on the night, still in pursuit of the single season record.
