SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – No. 65 Harvard women's tennis (7-7) fell 4-3 to Cal Poly Mustangs (6-5) on Thursday, March 16.
 
Starting in doubles, Harvard's duo of Angel You and Charlotte Owensby defeated Cal Poly's Melissa LaMette and Alexandra Ozerets 6-2. However, the Crimson would come up just short in the other two doubles matches, giving the doubles points to the Mustangs.
 
In singles, Sophia Ho defeated Cal Poly's Delanie Dunkle in the three spot 7-5, 6-3 and Mihaela Marculescu defeated Alexandra Ozerets 6-3, 6-4 in the six spot. A 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 win from Maxi Duncan over Melissa LaMette tied the match at 3-3.
 
The match came down between Angel You and Cal Poly's Peyton Dunkle in the four position. The match went back and forth. Dunkle would take the first set 7-6, but You would come back and take the second set 7-6. However, You would come up just short in the third set, giving the Mustangs a 4-3 win.
