Women's Water Polo to Celebrate Senior Day on Saturday in Busy Weekend at Blodgett Pool

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 14 Harvard women's water polo returns to Blodgett this weekend after almost a month for a big conference weekend. The Crimson will host No. 13 Michigan at 10:00 a.m. and Bucknell at 4:00 p.m. for a Saturday doubleheader before finishing the weekend with Saint Francis University at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. It will be a busy day on Saturday as the program will celebrate its seniors before the contest with Bucknell. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+. 

What to Know

  • Harvard returns to Blodgett for the first time since the Harvard Invite on Mar. 4-5. 
  • The Crimson has been on fire at home as they hold a 9-0 record to date this season at Blodgett pool. 
  • The program had a successful west coast trip over the past two weeks with some big games against No. 9 ASU, No. 3 University of California, and No. 14 University of the Pacific. 
  • The Crimson will face Michigan for the first time since last year's CWPA championship game. 
  • Zoe Banks won back-to-back defensive player of the week awards after her 19-save shutout against Santa Clara on Mar. 18. Ruby Hodge also took home her first weekly award of the season after being named rookie of the week.
  • Harvard has an all-time record of 2-17-1 against Michigan, 24-26-1 against Bucknell, and 10-0 against Saint Francis.

The Crimson is back at Blodgett next weekend for a single game against Princeton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The game will be streamed on ESPN+
