PHILADELPHIA, PA – Harvard men's lightweight rowing opened the regular season with the Matthews and Leonard Cups on Saturday. The Crimson competed in three events over the weekend against both Penn and Cornell.
In the Varsity 8 event, Harvard narrowly finished in second to Penn after finishing only four seconds behind the Quakers.
The Crimson had another tight race in the 2
nd Varsity 8 after finishing in second again with only a three-second gap between them and the first-place Quakers.
In the third Varsity 8 event Harvard finished with another competitive second-place finish with a time of 6:03.5.
