CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Crimson plated 20 runs on the day as Harvard University baseball swept an Ivy League doubleheader from Princeton University, 11-8 and 9-6, on Sunday afternoon at O'Donnell Field, taking a 2-1 series win in the process.
 
Capturing an Ivy series win for the second time in as many weekends to open its conference slate, the Crimson (7-16, 4-2 Ivy) took the first game of the day after jumping out to a 9-0 lead and claimed victory in game two against the Tigers (10-13, 4-2 Ivy), rallying from deficits of 3-0 and 6-5 before scoring the game's final four runs to close out the team's first home Ivy series of the season.
 
In the game one win, junior right-hander 
Chris Clark allowed just one run over 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts while junior 
Jake Berger went 4-for-5, junior 
Ben Rounds tallied two doubles and two RBIs, senior 
Will Jacobsen posted three hits and three RBIs, senior

George Cooper drove in two runs.

GAME 1: Harvard 11, Princeton 8
Junior right-hander 
Chris Clark allowed just one run over 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts, and the Crimson scored double-figure runs for the fourth time on the year as Harvard beat Princeton, 11-8, in Sunday's first game to force a rubber match in the series finale.
 
The Crimson took a 9-0 lead through five innings and held off a late rally from the Tigers.

	- Junior right-hander Chris Clark earned the win, throwing 6.0 innings and permitting one run on six hits and five walks with eight strikeouts. He tallied eight or more strikeouts for the fourth time this year.
- Junior Jake Berger went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
- Junior Ben Rounds finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, two runs, and a walk. He notched his fifth and sixth doubles of the season.
- Senior Will Jacobsen went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
- Senior Logan Bravo hit his fourth home run of the season with a two-run shot.
- Sophomore George Cooper tallied two hits, two RBIs, two runs, and a walk.
- First-year Gio Colasante and sophomore Sawyer Feller each scored two runs. Feller added a double and two walks.
- Harvard totaled 13 hits in the game, marking the ninth time this season that the Crimson has posted double-figure hits.

How It Happened
	- Harvard took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first behind an RBI double from Berger.
- The Crimson plated four runs in the last of the second to move ahead 5-0. Rounds started the scoring with a two-run double down the left field line before Jacobsen sent a two-run single down the right field line.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Bravo hit a two-run homer – his third homer of the season – to right field to give Harvard a 7-0 lead.
- Cooper sent a two-run single up the middle in the last of the fifth to extend the hosts' advantage to 9-0.
- The Tigers scored once in the sixth to make the score 9-1 and then plated four runs in the seventh to pull within 9-5. Princeton tacked on two runs in the eighth to trim the margin to 9-7.
- In the last of the eighth, Jacobsen sent a single through the right side to score Cooper from second base, bringing the edge to 10-7. Jacobsen later scored on a wild pitch to make it 11-7.
- The visitors scored once in the ninth for the final.
GAME 2: Harvard 9, Princeton 6

Tim Williamson combined to allow no runs over the final three innings as Harvard sealed a 9-6 win over Princeton in the series finale.
 
Facing an early 3-0 deficit, the Crimson came back to take a 4-3 lead and rallied again after trailing 6-5, scoring the game's final four runs to sweep the day's pair of contests.

Sean Matson tallied a season-high eight strikeouts in 5.0 innings in the start while junior 
Jake Berger drove in three runs, and seniors 
Will Jacobsen and 
Logan Bravo each tallied two RBIs.

	- The Tigers scored once in the top of the second and twice in the top of the third to take a 3-0 lead.
- Harvard countered with four runs in the bottom of the third, taking a 4-3 edge. Jacobsen started the frame's scoring, shooting a two-run double down the right field line. Berger then hit a sacrifice fly before Snopek plated a run with a ground bal.
- Princeton tied the score at 4-4 with a run in the top of the fifth.
- In the bottom of the fifth, Jacobsen scored on a balk as Harvard re-took the lead at 5-4.
- The Tigers answered in the top of the sixth, scoring two runs to gain a 6-5 edge.
- Harvard responded with four runs in the bottom of the sixth, re-gaining a 9-6 advantage. Two runs came home as Bravo put a ball in play, and another two runs scored on a two-run double from Berger.
- First-year right-hander Jack Smith then threw a scoreless seventh before senior left-hander Tim Williamson came on to record the final six outs without allowing a run, hit, or walk.
