PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard men's lacrosse was represented on the Ivy League's weekly honor roll for the second time this season as first-year
Logan Ip earned the conference's Rookie of the Week award. The California native scored Harvard's first goal of the day and dished out an assist while contributing on the defensive end in the Crimson's 14-10 win over Colgate over the weekend.
The Corona Del Mar product has registered eight points with three goals and five assists in his first eight games with the Crimson. Ip has also factored in on defense, scooping up seven groundballs and causing three turnovers so far in 2023.
Coming out of high school, Ip was ranked No. 41 in the Inside Lacrosse and EvoShield Power 100 rankings. Ip has not disappointed since his arrival in Cambridge, as he has proven himself a reliable and capable player on both sides of the field in just eight games played so far this season.
Harvard last earned weekly honors two weeks ago after its OT win over Brown.
Sam King netted the Player of the Week award and
Teddy Malone earned the Rookie of the Week award for their efforts in the victory.
Harvard lacrosse will be back in action this weekend when it hosts the 2022 National Runners-Up, the No. 4/4 Cornell Big Red. The Crimson will play its first game at Jordan Field in nearly a month when it meets the Ivy League's top team on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
