CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Make that ten straight wins for Harvard men's tennis in Ivy League play, after the team swept the Brown Bears, 7-0, this afternoon. The Crimson (15-5, 3-0 Ivy) ran away with the victory that was clinched by the Crimson's No. 1, Harris Walker, who earned his 25th singles of the season.
 

How it Happened 

 
Harvard started off strong in doubles play, securing the first point of the match after a pair of quick victories on courts two and three. David Lins and Alan Yim earned a 6-0 win at the third pairing to remain undefeated on the season. Ronan Jachuck and Henry von der Schulenburg earned their first win of the season as a doubles team with a 6-3 result on court two. Danny Milavsky and Harris Walker were in control of their match on court one but did not finish after the Crimson claimed the doubles point.
 
Von der Schulenburg improved to 9-1 at the No. 2 slot after earning the Crimson's first singles win of the day, 6-1, 6-4. First-year Valdemar Pape was close behind, earning Harvard's third point of the afternoon after a 6-2, 6-1 win at the sixth pairing.
 
Walker clinched Harvard 16th win of the season with his 6-3, 6-1 victory at the first pairing. The win, Walker's 25th of the season, also gave the Crimson it's 12th consecutive victory over the Bears. Milavsky, Yim and Jachuck would all go on to win in straight sets, closing out the match and giving Harvard the victory.

• This was the first 7-0 sweep for the Crimson this season and the first since Senior day last year against Yale

Up Next

Harvard will be back in Cambridge next weekend to take on a pair of ranked Ivy League opponents in the No. 30 Cornell Big Red and the No. 11 Columbia Lions. The match with the Big Red is set for Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM followed by a Sunday tilt with the Lions also starting at 1:00 PM.
