TULSA, Okla. – Nathan Blokhin and Rohan Murali battled in the opening round of the ITA All-American Championships singles main draw today but ultimately fell to their respective opponents.

In the morning, Blokhin dropped a straight-set contest to the No. 104-ranked singles player, Dominick Mosejcauk of Wake Forest.

Then, Murali nearly stole the opening set, but Emon Van Loben Sels (UCLA), the 22^nd-ranked singles player, prevailed to win, 7-5, 6-4.

Despite the losses, the Harvard student-athletes will still have a chance at a NCAA bid as they compete in the consolation draw. Blokhin will play first at 11:00 a.m. ET against Azariah Rusher (Florida State) before Murali will face Luca Preda (Virginia) at 12:30 p.m. ET.
