HOUSTON, Texas – The Crimson women's rugby team finished third in the USA Rugby Collegiate Cup Championship after falling to Life University in the semifinal game but pulling out a 19-12 win in the third place cup game over the Dartmouth Big Green.

Harvard started the Cup Semifinal with a try from
Tiahna Padilla followed by another five points from
Lennox London to bring the Crimson a 10-0 lead early in the game. Just before the half,
Cameron Fields ran it in for a third try that was followed by a conversion from
Brogan Mior.
During the second half, the Crimson were unable to get past the defense of Life University, allowing the Running Eagles to score 21 points throughout the second half of play and falling short of putting up enough points to pull out the win. With the result of the semifinal, Harvard then moved on to fight Dartmouth for the Cup Third Place.

In what would serve as the third tournament this season that the Crimson and Big Green met; Harvard was able to pull out a win on the big stage. Dartmouth started strong in the first half, building up a 12-point lead before Harvard could get on the board.
Harvard came back from the short break ready to take control of the game.
Cameron Fields scored the first try of the game to narrow the Big Green's lead to seven. Shortly after her first try, Fields was off and running to bring the Crimson within two.
Chloe Headland made the conversion to tie the game at 12. With just under a minute to go, Headland brought the ball over the line and finished it off with another conversion to end the game with a seven-point margin of victory, 19-12.
