LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Harvard Women's Volleyball team earned a pair of academic accolades from the United States Marine Corps and American Volleyball Coaches Association today. The Crimson team received the Team Academic Award and was named to the Team Academic Honor Roll. 
 
For the 15th consecutive season, Harvard has secured the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award. To be eligible for this distinction, which was established in 1992-93, a team must maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. 
 
Harvard also landed on the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for the 15th consecutive season, which recognizes the top 20 percent of team GPAs in each division. Harvard was one of two Ivy League teams alsongside Brown and one of 45 total teams to secure a spot on the honor roll. In addition to Brown, two other competitors from the 2022 season, Bryant University and Winthrop University, secured spots on the Honor Roll.

Harvard and Saint Francis, meanwhile, were the only Division I schools to have both its men's and women's programs garner USMC/AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2023.
