Jade Rose To Join Team Canada in Upcoming International Window

OTTOWA, Ont. – Harvard women's soccer defender and team captain, Jade Rose, has been selected to the Team Canada Women's Soccer squad for the upcoming International window. A Markham, Ontario native, Rose will join the squad for the two-match winner-takes-all CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying series against Jamaica in late September.

The Canadian team will play two matches against Jamaica on Sept. 22 and 26 with the final spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on the line. The winner will be decided in a cumulative goal winner-take-all series.

Rose has been involved with the Canada Senior Women's National team since she was 15 after being invited to her first camp in 2019. The sweeper made her national team debut in 2021 and has since played in eight matches for the squad. Most recently, Rose saw action in the She Believes Cup and in a trio of international friendlies against France, Morocco and Australia.

Rose was in line for a spot on the Canadian World Cup squad but was forced to withdraw from selection after suffering an injury two weeks prior to the tournament. Now healthy and back on the pitch, Rose and her teammates will look to secure a spot in the Olympics.
