CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving first-year
Stephanie Iannaccone is set to represent Guatemala at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar. The event is scheduled for Feb. 2-18, 2024.
Hailing from Concord, California, Iannaccone is slated to compete in the 200 individual medley and 200 breaststroke.
Heats of the 200 IM will get underway on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 1:30 a.m. ET, with the semifinals to follow at 11 a.m. ET. The finals, meanwhile, will take place on Monday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. ET.
The 200 breast will follow the same timing, with heats and semis set for Thursday, Feb. 15, and the championship scheduled for Friday, Feb. 16.
Iannaccone, who set the Guatemalan national record in the 100 breast and the 18U national standard in the 200 breast and 100 IM prior to arriving on campus, currently owns Harvard's top time this season in the 100 breast (1:02.44), 200 breast (2:15.21) and 200 IM (2:00.38). The first-year's 200 IM time ranks eighth in program history and Iannaccone's 200 breast performance is the 10
th-fastest in the Harvard record book.
Iannaccone and the Crimson return to action Friday-Saturday, Feb. 2-3, when Harvard faces Yale and Princeton at the annual HYP meet. Friday is scheduled for a 2 p.m. ET start, with Saturday set to begin at 10 a.m. ET at Princeton.
