CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving has announced that
Isabella Alas,
Samantha Holtz and
Blythe Wieclawek will serve as its team captains for the 2026-27 campaign.
Alas, a rising senior, returns to her role as captain after being one of three last season. A native of Houston, Texas, Alas' primary event is the freestyle and has represented El Salvador in international competition.
Holtz completed her sophomore season in 2025-26, and qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships for the second consecutive year. Hailing from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Holtz was a CSCAA Scholar All-America Second-Team honoree as a first-year athlete on campus.
Wieclawek, meanwhile, is a rising senior from Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada. In three seasons, Wieclawek has collected three first-team All-Ivy League honors (2026 – 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay; 2025 – 200 medley relay) and three second-team All-Ivy awards (2026 – 200 free relay; 2025 – 200 free relay; 2024 – 200 free relay).
The Crimson is coming off a season that saw it qualify four athletes for the NCAA Championships, which marked the program's most since 2019. Harvard's 2026 appearance at the national meet also represented the 14
th straight season it has competed at NCAAs.
