CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving rising senior Stephanie Iannaccone earned a silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley on Wednesday, July 29, at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The medal was part of Iannaccone's four-day competition schedule while competing for Guatemala.
 
Iannaccone opened the Games by finishing with the fifth-best time in the 200m IM last Tuesday. The senior posted a time of 2:20.43, with Puerto Rico's Kristen Romano winning the event with a 2:18.28 performance.
 
A day later, Iannaccone and Romano were at it again, with the latter winning gold in the 400m IM as she finished with a time of 4:44.87. Iannaccone, meanwhile, took home the silver medal after completing the race in 4:54.12. The Californian later competed for Guatemala's women's 4x100 free relay and helped the group come in fifth place (3:54.54), while swimming the third leg. Mexico won the event in 3:45.62.
 
Thursday, July 30, saw Iannacone swim the second leg of the mixed 4x100 medley relay. The quartet finished in seventh place with a time of 4:03.56. Similar to the previous day, Mexico won the relay, logging a time of 3:45.62.
 
Iannaccone wrapped up her time in Santo Domingo on Friday, July 31, by competing in the 200m breast. After earning a spot in the finals, Iannaccone came in seventh place with an effort of 2:37.45. Byanca Rodriguez of Mexico won the event in 2:27.99.
