SANTA CLARA, Calif. - No. 13 men's water polo fell to No. 14 California Baptist by a score of 14-11 on Friday afternoon. In the first game of its West Coast trip, Harvard led 5-2 in the second quarter but was unable to hold the lead, as the Lancers eventually came back to take the game. Harvard returns to action tomorrow against Santa Clara at 1:20 p.m. ET.
 
HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS

• The Crimson scored five of the first seven goals of the game, with Jack Burghardt, Lukas Peabody, Owen Hale, Dean Strauser, and Jacob Tsotadze each scoring to give the Crimson a three-goal lead early in the second quarter.
• After falling behind 6-5 to the Lancers, James Rozolis-Hill and Dean Strauser added goals to even the score late in the third quarter, but the Lancers eventually pulled away and maintained a three-goal lead in the fourth quarter.
• Owen Hale and James Rozolis-Hill each netted two goals.
• Dean Strauser had two goals and an assist.
• Jacob Tsotadze recorded a hat trick.
• Jack Burghardt scored as well.
• Hale, Tsotadze, and Strauser all finished with three points.
• Tanner Furtak made nine saves in the cage.
