CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 19 Harvard women's water polo is set to host five games over three days this weekend at Blodgett Pool. Opening the weekend with Brown in its second CWPA contest of the season the Crimson will then host its second tournament of the season with the Harvard Invitational on Saturday. Harvard opens Saturday with UC Davis at 10:30 a.m. before closing out with Mercyhurst at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday the Crimson will face Santa Clara at 10:40 a.m. and Wagner at 4:00 p.m.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard hosts its second tournament of the year after going 2-2 at the Bruno Classic to open the season.
- Harvard went 2-1 last weekend at the Princeton Invitational after defeating Villanova and La Salle in back-to-back games.
- Emma Gilbert added a five-goal game against La Salle to finish the weekend with nine goals in three games.
- Alexis Kieckhafer picked up the win against La Salle while Sutchie Ofori-Nyako added the win over Villanova.
- Harvard moved up one spot in the weekly ACWPC national poll after dropping to No. 20 heading into the Princeton Invitational.
- Harvard will play three ranked teams in five games this weekend with No. 16 UC Davis, No. 18 Wagner, and No. 23 Brown.
- In a rematch with Wagner, Harvard will look to split the season series after falling to the Seahawks earlier in the year.
- After Sunday, the Crimson will play ten straight road games and 11 of its final 12 games as the visitors heading into the CWPA playoffs.
