CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's water polo kicked off it's packed weekend with a massive win in its rivalry contest against Brown at Blodget Pool. The Crimson (5-3, 1-1 CWPA) used a fast start – powered by two early goals from
Erin Kim – to defeat it's CWPA and Ivy League rival. Now, the Crimson will head into the 2024 Harvard Invitational where it is set to play four matches in a two-day span.
No. 19 Harvard vs. No. 23 Brown: Harvard 10, Brown 7
- The Crimson used a masterful defensive effort to sprint past Brown on Friday night.
- Alexis Kieckhafer backstopped the effort with 10 saves in net.
- Maya O'Dea led the Crimson with four goals, including the eventual game-winner.
- O'Dea scored the sixth, eighth, ninth and tenth goals down the stretch to help Harvard seal the win.
- Erin Kim scored the first two Harvard goals to get the Crimson going in the first quarter.
- Ruby Hodge added two goals – the fourth and fifth – in the action while also adding an assist on the eventual game-winner.

Harvard will now shift its focus to the Harvard Invitational this weekend, hosted at Blodgett Pool. The Crimson will play four games in the next two days. The team kicks off the slate with a match against No. 16 UC Davis (Saturday, 10:15 AM) tomorrow morning. Matchups with Mercyhurst, Santa Clara and No. 18 Wagner will also occur in the tournament.
