CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –– Harvard women's water polo began the annual Harvard Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 24. Harvard split its two matches on the day, improving to a 6-4 overall season record. Harvard scores a season-high 22 goals in game two vs. Mercyhurst in a victory.
GAME 1: UC Davis 10, Harvard 9
- Maya O' Dea was on fire after netting a hat trick in the effort. Putting the Crimson up multiple times throughout the game, O'Dea has been one of the biggest offensive contributors to date.
- Fellow first-year Emma Gilbert also added a hat trick.
- Ruby Hodge and Erin Kim both added a goal and two helpers.
- Sasha Constandse found the back of the net once in the morning game.
GAME 2: Harvard 22, Mercyhurst 5
- Junior Dany Zapata, senior Annabel Facey, and first-year Maya O'Dea led the Crimson in goals with three scores each. O'Dea had six total goals on the day.
- Lily Britt added two goals and two assists to the Crimson's totals.
- Harvard scored a season-high 22 goals as 12 different Crimson found the back of the net.
- The team forced nine Mercyhurst turnovers.

Harvard women's water polo will continue in the Harvard invitational tomorrow morning at 10:40 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. against Santa Clara and Wagner College. Harvard will look to split the season series with Wagner after an early season loss to the Seahawks.
