Campbell Adds Another Six Goals as Women's Lacrosse Defeats Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Picking up another win at home on Saturday, Harvard women's lacrosse defeated Dartmouth to remain undefeated at Jordan Field through three games this season. 
 
Improving to 6-2 on the season, the Crimson had a big afternoon from Riley Campbell and Callie Hem as the senior duo netted nine of the 16 Harvard goals. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • Dartmouth scored first to take the lead in a very quiet opening to the first quarter. 
  • Despite some zone time in the Big Green end the Crimson was held off the board in the first eight minutes of the game. 
  • Riley Campbell helped jump-start the Crimson offense as the senior's first goal of the game led to four straight goals from Harvard.
  • Campbell cut through multiple Big Green defenders for her first strike of the game. 
  • Caroline Mullahy found Callie Batchelder on the side of the net for the second Crimson goal. 
  • Riley Campbell added her second of the game after a beautiful move to the outside. 
  • Caroline Mullahy also found the back of the net in the first quarter to help give the Crimson a 4-1 lead after the first. 
  • Campbell completed her hat-trick after starting the second quarter with a goal. The senior captain would go on to add another three goals for her second double hat-trick of the season. 
  • The Crimson led 8-3 after the half with Charley Meier and Riley Campbell leading the Crimson offense with a combined six goals at the break. 
  • Callie Hem and Riley Campbell started the third quarter for the Crimson with two goals each in eight minutes. 
  • Harvard led 13-6 at the end of the third quarter. 
  • Dartmouth began to push back in the fourth quarter after three quick goals made it 13-9 with 9:19 left in the game. 
  • Fourth-quarter goals from Maddie Barkate and Callie Hem helped put the game out of reach and give the Crimson its sixth win of the season. 
GAME NOTES
  • Campbell notched a six-goal game for the second time this season. 
  • Callie Hem finished the game with a hat-trick. The senior now has hat-tricks in seven of eight games this season. 
  • Campbell also now has hat-tricks in seven of eight games. 
  • Callie Batchelder netted her first multigoal game of the season. 
  • Harvard joins Cornell, Penn, and Yale with at least two conference wins in Ivy play.
