HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Crimson and the Bears renewed their long-standing rivalry this afternoon in the season finale at Jordan Field. Harvard and Brown competed at Jordan Field in front of a near sellout crowd on a a beautiful afternoon in Cambridge.
• Jonh Aurandt IV got the Crimson started by scoring the first goal of the game just 40 seconds into the action. After Brown tied the game, Teddy Malone restored the Crimson lead with a quick catch and score off the feed from Aurandt. Sam King increased the Crimson lead with back-to-back goals, giving Harvard a 4-1 advantage at the seven-minute mark. Logan Ip added one more tally to send Harvard into the first quarter break with a 5-1 lead.
• The sides traded goals to begin the second quarter with Brown striking first before Graham Blake found the back of the net off the feed from Logan Ip.
• Miles Botkiss netted one soon after to put the Crimson up by three, before the Bears lessened the deficit with a goal just before the end of the half.
• Aurandt started scoring in the third quarter, to which Brown responded with two goals.
• In a two-minute span Jack Speidell scored back-to-back goals and Owen Guest netted one on a breakaway.
• The third quarter ended with a goal from the Bears.
• Brown went on a three-goal scoring run in the fourth but could not catch up to the Crimson.

HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS

• Sam King led in points with four, grabbing two goals and two assists.
• John Aurandt IV and Jack Speidell scored two goals each.
• Graham Blake, Logan Ip, Teddy Malone, Miles Botkiss and Owen Guest each netted a goal to add to the scoring effort.
• Christian Barnard made 11 saves in the cage.
• Andrew DeGennaro picked up five ground balls and Speidell, Malone and Martin Nelson each grabbed three.
