LEWISBURG, PA. - In its return to the pool in almost a month, Harvard women's water polo dropped two CWPA matchups at Bucknell on Saturday. Harvard will close the weekend tomorrow with Saint Francis before returning to Blodgett next weekend when it hosts Princeton.
The Crimson narrowly fell in the opening game to host Bucknell before another tight matchup against No.11 Michigan in the late game.
GAME 1: Bucknell 11, Harvard 10
- There were eight goals combined between the two as the score was tied at four after the first quarter of play.
- Ella Prentice netted a hat-trick in her return to the pool.
- Emma Gilbert and Anabel Facey both added a pair of goals.
- Ruby Hodge, Maya O'Dea, and Lucy Berkman all scored one goal each.
- The Crimson outscored Bucknell by a score of 5-3 in the second half but was not able to overcome a big second quarter from the Bison.
GAME 2: No. 11 Michigan 9, Harvard 6
