CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard Club Sport and Intramural Awards for the 2023-24 academic year were revealed on April 30
th, at the annual Club Sports and Intramural Spring Celebration. This event celebrates the achievements of Harvard's club and intramural athletes, and recognizes their outstanding leadership and dedication to the overall mission of Harvard's athletic and recreational student programs.
The contributions of these individuals and organizations align with the purpose of these programs; to provide "Athletics for all Students" and ensure opportunities for participation and competition at all levels. Through club sports and intramurals, Harvard values the important lessons of athletic engagement: pursuing excellence, demonstrating strong character, leading with integrity, and displaying good sportsmanship.
Club Sport Athletes of the Year – Katie Trerice '24, Harvard Field Hockey Club & Women's Ice Hockey Club/Trey Whitehead '25, Harvard Men's Ice Hockey Club
The Club Sport Athlete of The Year is awarded by the Department of Harvard Athletics to the Club Sport athlete who has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability/talent in their respective sport and promoted the goal/mission of their organization and the overall Harvard Club Sport program.

House Intramural Athletes of the Year – Riley Kunz '24, Eliot/Chibuikem "Chuby" Uche '24, Currier
Intramural Athlete of The Year is awarded by the Department of Harvard Athletics to the house intramural athlete who has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability/talent in their respective sport and promoted the goal/mission of Harvard's House Intramural program.

As co-Captain of Eliot's Flag Football and Basketball A squads, he brings passion and determination to the role, elevating his teammates by challenging them to run harder and find inspiration in athletic greats like Jocko Willink. House Intramural Referee of the Year – Nghia Nguyen '26, Lowell
Intramural Referee of The Year is awarded by the Department of Harvard Athletics to the intramural referee who has demonstrated outstanding officiating ability and promoted fair play and the spirit of Harvard's House Intramural program.
- "Nghia has been an Intramural (IM) ref for the longest time, sometimes even the only ref that IMs has. He's reffed countless game, resolved many conflicts, and made extremely tough decisions. He shows such care about the fairness, competition, and sportsmanship of each game. His excitement for IMs shows as he makes each game fun with his passion and his commentary. Club Sport Organization of the Year - Harvard Quadball Club
This inaugural award recognizes the club sport organization that best exemplifies the mission and goals of the Harvard club sports program through their leadership, participation, skill development, competition, and emphasis on community.

House Intramural Straus Cup Championship
Each house earns points towards the coveted Straus Cup through participation in league sports and events. This award represents excellence, not only on the field but in promoting the mission of our intramural program. It recognizes the house that best demonstrated dedication to inclusion, sportsmanship and the social benefits of athletics.
- 2024 House Intramural Straus Cup Champions – Kirkland House
- First House to three-peat as Straus cup Champion since Winthrop House won five straight Straus Cups between 2008-12.
