Football Selected Second in Ivy League Preseason Poll

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University Football was selected to finish second in the 2024 Ivy League Football Preseason Media Poll, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Harvard took second place in the poll with 108 total points and seven first-place votes. Yale (114 points, six first-place votes) gained the top spot. Penn (88 points, two first-place votes) claimed the third position while Princeton (80 points, one first-place vote) and Dartmouth (80 points) tied for fourth. Brown (56 points), Cornell (26 points), and Columbia (24 points) rounded out the sixth through eighth spots in the rankings.
 
The Crimson brings 10 Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy League selections into the upcoming campaign including Phil Steele Preseason Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year Shane McLaughlin. On the coaching side, Andrew Aurich enters his first season as The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football.
