Women’s Rugby Dominates in Exhibition Match Against Oxford, 93-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's rugby defeats Oxford at home on Saturday, Sept. 21, with a score of 93-0. The Crimson scored tries fifteen separate times to earn the exhibition victory.
 

HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Sophomore Ava Ference broke the game open with a long run to the try zone.
  • Junior Lennox London scored next at the 35:00 mark, finishing with two tries on the day and extending her team lead to nine for the year.
  • Junior Victoria Stanley also scored two tries, finding the try zone in both the first and second halves.
  • Senior PK Vincze dove into the try zone following a stellar run and pass from sophomore Maya Hilger.
  • Sophomore Courtney Taylor scored back-to-back tries for the Crimson, bringing her season total to four.
  • Junior Tiahna Padilla added a score while breaking multiple tackles on the play.
  • Senior Chloe Headland contributed seven conversions and scored two tries.
  • Junior Charlotte Gilmour ran in her first try of the season.
  • First-years Dana Greer and Josephine Mignone both found the try zone as the game came to a close.
  • Harvard secured the victory against Oxford in the first ever meeting between the teams.
