Men's Lightweight Rowing Announces 2025 Spring Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard men's lightweight rowing has announced its spring 2025 schedule, which includes seven competitive events. The Crimson will face off against a strong field throughout the season, building on a historic 2024 campaign.

The 2024 season saw the first varsity boat finish undefeated, marking an outstanding achievement as the team won both the Eastern Sprints and the IRA Championship for the first time since 2014.

Racing begins on Saturday, April 5, with a doubleheader regatta. Harvard will first compete against Cornell and Penn in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the morning. Later, the team will travel to Leonia, New Jersey, to face Columbia and Georgetown in the afternoon session for the Wales-Kirrane Cup.

On Saturday, April 12, Harvard will travel to Hanover, New Hampshire, to face Dartmouth for the Biglin Bowl. The following week, on Saturday, April 19, the Crimson will host its only home regatta of the spring, welcoming Navy and MIT for the Haines Cup and Paulovich Trophy.

To close out the regular season, Harvard will travel to Princeton, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 26, to face Yale and Princeton for the Goldthwait and Vogel Cups.

The Crimson will then head to Worcester, Massachusetts, for the Eastern Sprints, aiming to defend its victory from the previous year. The season will conclude with the IRA Championships, which will take place from Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1 in Camden, New Jersey.
