Four Crimson Wrestlers Win Individual Bouts, Wrestling Loses to Binghamton, 26-12

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Four Crimson wrestlers earned victories in dual matches against Binghamton on Saturday afternoon. Logan Brzozowski, Dante Frinzi, Jaden Pepe, and Jimmy Harrington all won in front of the home crowd. However, Harvard ultimately lost to Binghamton, 26-12.

HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS

The match began at the 141-pound weight class, where Dante Frinzi came out strong with an early takedown to secure a three-point lead. In a back-and-forth contest, Frinzi stayed composed and focused on defense. The score was tied at the end of regulation, but Frinzi led in riding time with 2:27, which earned him the win, 6-5.

At 149 pounds, Jaden Pepe faced Binghamton's Garcia in the second match. In a low-scoring battle, Pepe stayed resilient and forced the match into overtime. The contest extended past the first overtime period, but Pepe managed to escape for a point while also leading in riding time, ultimately securing a 3-2 win. This victory gave the Crimson a 6-0 lead to start the match.

No. 30-ranked 157-pound wrestler Jimmy Harrington continued Harvard's early success with a win over Nadeau of Binghamton. Harrington scored a take down on the edge of the circle, taking a three-point lead. He held on for a 4-1 victory, marking his 11th win of the season.

First-year 133-pound wrestler Logan Brzozowski secured a victory over Binghamton's Kazalas. Although Brzozowski typically competes at 125 pounds, he has stepped up to the 133-pound weight class for the past four duals. In this match, he earned two points with near-fall points. Kazalas managed to score a point with an escape, but Brzozowski held firm, finishing strong to give the Crimson their fourth win of the afternoon.
