NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior guard
Chandler Piggé scored a team-high 13 points, but Harvard Men's Basketball fell at Yale University, 84-55, on Saturday afternoon at the John J. Lee Amphitheater inside Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
Starting a four-game road swing, the Crimson (6-11, 1-3 Ivy) dropped the decision to the league-leading Bulldogs (11-6, 4-0 Ivy), who led 45-26 at halftime and held a 15-point margin through the second half.
Piggé tallied 13 points, a team-best five rebounds, and two assists, scoring in double figures for the 14
th time this season and leading the Crimson in scoring for the ninth time on the year. Senior guard
Louis Lesmond joined him in double figures, scoring 11 points on 4-of-7 field goals and 3-of-6 3-pointers.

How It Happened
- After Yale opened the game with a 17-5 lead, a 3-pointer from Piggé and jumper from Lesmond cut the margin to 17-10 at the 12:16 mark of the first half.
- The Bulldogs moved their lead to 27-10 with 10 straight points and pushed the edge to 37-14 with 7:34 left in the first half over a 20-4 run.
- A 6-2 spurt from the Crimson brought the visitors within 39-20, and back-to-back 3-pointers from Lesmond trimmed the difference to 43-26 with 1:51 to go in the opening half. Yale took a 45-26 lead into the locker room.
- Triples from Nelson, Piggé, and Lesmond helped keep the Crimson within 59-41 with 11:45 remaining before back-to-back buckets from Barbour brought Harvard within 60-45 with 11:02 to play.
- The Bulldogs used an 11-2 run to push their lead back to 71-47 with 7:45 to go and maintained at least a 20-point edge the rest of the way.
