BALTIMORE, Md. - January 30, 2025 – Adding to his list of preseason accolades, Harvard men's lacrosse senior captain, Sam King, was named a Nike Lacrosse 2025 Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse this morning. Ranked the seventh best player in the nation by Inside Lacrosse ahead of the 2025 season, King adds this honor to his preseason All-America nod from USA Lacrosse that he received last week.
 
One of the most talented players in program history, King burst onto the scene in 2024, collecting 73 points with 38 goals and 35 assists – The third-highest total in program history - to rank second in the nation in points per game. King contributed all over the field in 2024, scooping up 44 ground balls and causing six turnovers. King was the only player in the nation to record 70-plus points, 35-plus goals, 35-plus assists and 40-plus ground balls on the season, making him the national leader in total statistics (points, ground balls and caused turnovers.
 
Named an All-American by every major lacrosse media outlet, King was voted a team captain prior to the season making him one of the few multi-year captain in the nearly 150 year history of Harvard men's lacrosse.
 
The Gilman School and Looney's Lacrosse product will look to build on his career year in 2025 when the Crimson jump on the field on Saturday, February 15, at Providence College.
