BOSTON, Mass. – Philip Tresca scored the go-ahead goal in the third period to help lift the Crimson over Northeastern in its lone exhibition game of the season.
In its final trip to its former home, Harvard battled back throughout the night before taking the lead late and sealing the win with an empty-net goal.
Mick Thompson opened the scoring for the Crimson in the first period, tying the game at one as the sophomore picked up right where he left off last season. The Huskies regained the lead in the second, but Cam Johnson evened the score early in the third. Tresca followed with the game-winner and later added the empty-netter to secure a 4-2 victory for Harvard.
