NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Kolos Kincses of Harvard men's tennis recorded two wins on the opening day of the ITA New England Regionals to advance out of the qualifying draw.
Kincses began the day with a gritty victory over Csanad Nyaradi (Quinnipiac). The first-year battled through the first set, 7-6 (2) before dominating in the second set, 6-1.
The Hungary native then knocked off the nine-seed Nathan Gold (Cornell) in straight set. Kincses recorded the win in convincing fashion, defeating Gold 6-3, 6-2.
Kincses will join his fellow Crimson teammates as the singles and doubles main draws kick off in New Haven.
