Women's Water Polo Returns to CWPA Action

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 11 Harvard women's water polo returns to action this weekend at Blodgett Pool as part of its first All-CWPA weekend. Hosting Saint Francis, Bucknell, and Michigan as part of another three games in its 15-game homestand. 

The Crimson will play Saint Francis at 10:00 a.m. and Bucknell at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday before playing Michigan at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday with all games streaming on ESPN+.

Harvard jumped up to its highest ranking ever after defeating four straight-ranked opponents at the Crimson Classic last weekend. 

WHAT TO KNOW
  • Harvard defeated four straight ranked opponents in its last outing at the Crimson Classic. 
  • The Crimson defeated No. 15 UCSB, No. 13 Princeton, No. 24 LIU, and No. 11 UCSD to win its fifth consecutive game which helped Harvard jump up eight spots in the most recent ACWPC poll. 
  • It marks the first time in program history that the Crimson has won four straight ranked games. 
  • The Crimson sit at 7-1 and have six ranked wins this season. 
  • Maya O'Dea and Orli Cooper were both named CWPA Players of the Week for their efforts over the Crimson Classic weekend. 
  • O'Dea was named offensive player of the week after 11 goals in four games while Cooper took home defensive player of the week after 46 saves in four games.

The Crimson closes its 15 game homestand with the Harvard Invite at Blodgett Pool next weekend.
