CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 8 Harvard women's water polo will host the annual Harvard Invite this weekend at Blodgett Pool, with four games on tap for the nationally ranked Crimson.
Harvard will face off against California Baptist on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mercyhurst University at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, Harvard will play Brown University at 11:10 a.m., before taking on Wagner College at 4:15 p.m.
The Crimson will celebrate its senior class on Sunday in its annual senior celebration against Wagner at 4:15 p.m.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard jumped three spots to No. 8 in the latest CWPA poll after another undefeated weekend.
- Coming in at No. 9 in the most recent ACWPC poll, the Crimson break its previous program high of No. 11 it set two weeks ago. The 8/9 ranking for the Crimson is the highest in program history.
- Harvard is the top ranked east coast team in the country.
- The Crimson is 10-1, having secured three wins last weekend over Saint Francis University, Bucknell University, and No. 16 Michigan.
- The Crimson will play two more conference games this weekend with Brown and Mercyhurst coming to Blodgett.
- Undefeated in conference play so far, Harvard has yet to play either Mercyhurst or Brown this season.
- The only team the Crimson has played this season coming to Blodgett for the Harvard Invite is Wagner.
- The Crimson defeated Wagner by a score of 15-11 at the Bruno Classic to start the season.
- Orli Cooper and Niki Piovan were named CWPA Players of the Week, with Cooper earning Defensive Player of the Week and Piovan being recognized as Rookie of the Week.

The Crimson will head to San Diego, CA, for the Aztec Invite, where they will compete against the University of Southern California, UC San Diego, University of Michigan, and Indiana University, starting on March 15.
