CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard Men's Volleyball (9-10, 5-3 EIVA) came up with its third consecutive 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-19) win, posting a strong performance against Dominican University (5-20, 2-2 ECC) this evening.
How It Happened
Beginning the first set relatively close, the Crimson picked up momentum, scoring six points in a row to give them a commanding 15-6 lead. The Crimson would trade blows with Dominican before catching fire again and going on a 5-0 run before icing the first set 25-12. Across its 18 attempts in the first set, the Crimson managed 9 kills.
Heading into the second set, Dominican jumped out to a 2-1 lead before a back-and-forth battle ensued. Keeping it within 2 points for half the set, the Crimson found its groove and began to separate the scoreline, with the set finishing 25-17.
Dominican again came out strong, battling with the Crimson to start the third set. Dominican took a 6-4 lead before the Crimson would again go on a five-point streak, making it 9-6. While the third set was the closest of the three, the Crimson continued to show domination and closed the set 25-19.
