Women’s Water Polo Sweeps SFU and Bucknell

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – No. 13 Harvard women's water polo (22-6, 10-2 CWPA) picked up two dominant conference wins on Saturday, defeating St. Francis, 18-1, in the morning and following up with an 18-5 win over Bucknell in the afternoon.

The Crimson defense was strong throughout the day, allowing one goal in the first game and five in the second. Harvard's offense continues to shine, scoring a combined 36 goals across both matchups.

GAME 1: HARVARD 18, SFU 1

Maya O'Dea, Niki Piovan, and Emma Gilbert each recorded hat tricks to lead the attack.
Heidi Heffelfinger was key at offense with four points and added one assist.
Lucy Berkman, Erin Kim, Dany Zapata, and Sofia Del Villar each contributed one goal and one assist.
Ella Schneider added one goal and two assists.
In goal, Orli Cooper made six saves and recorded a steal, while Sutchie Ofori-Nyako added four saves.

GAME 2: HARVARD 18, BUCKNELL 5

Niki Piovan had a standout performance, scoring six goals and adding three assists.
Lucy Berkman, Heidi Heffelfinger, Maya O'Dea, Sofia Del Villar each added one goal and an assist, while Heffelfinger had two assists.
Emma Gilbert and Lily Britt both netted two goals.
Ruby Hodge and Dany Zapata both netted two goals apiece, while Hodge added two assists and Zapata three.
Orli Cooper made eight saves along with one steal between the post.
