CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's hockey will welcome eight new members to the team from the Class of 2029, Ted Donato, The Robert D. Ziff '88 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Hockey, announced today.
"We are very excited about this incoming class," Donato said. "The combinations of character, talent, and winning attributes should allow them to have an immediate and substantial impact on our program, and we look forward to their arrival on campus."
With four forwards and four defensemen joining the team next season, the newcomers will look to add to a group that was one game away from advancing to Lake Placid after falling in overtime to No. 19 Clarkson in Game 3 of the ECAC quarterfinals. One of the youngest teams in the country for the second year in a row, the Crimson has now won at least a single playoff round in every season since 2013-14, after a 5-2 victory over RPI at the Bright-Landry.
Next season, the Crimson will return leading scorers Casey Severo, Joe Miller, and Ivy League Rookie of the Year Mick Thompson up front, while veteran defensemen Ryan Healey and Mason Langenbrunner return on the blue line.
