Postgame Quotes

  • "I was really happy with the first half. I thought we executed at a really high level other than the one fumble. We went right back to Isaiah after that, because I wanted to see how he responded and he responded with two straight runs for a touchdown. Our defense was playing at a really high level, I thought we did a good job owning the line of scrimmage. The offensive line was doing the same thing. Jaden did a really good job, mixing the ball around and executing. That first half – that's how I want us to look other than the fumble. We created some takeaways as well." – The Thomas Stephenson Family Head Coach for Harvard Football
  • "The second half we made a lot of substitutions, but we didn't execute at the same level. We weren't detailed enough. We didn't tackle as well as we should, but we got every guy that was here other than a couple of the quarterbacks into the game. Those young guys will be able to watch themselves on tape and see the corrections they need to make because we need to build depth. Our ones are very talented, but we need to have some depth with the twos if we want to sustain things moving forward when injuries pop up. I'm very happy with how it went. We got out healthy, so we can go back and get ourselves ready for Brown." – Coach Aurich
  • "I told the guys before the start of this game that this game is all about setting the standard for how we are going to perform as a team for the rest of the year. It doesn't matter what point in the game. It was four hours of intense focus from everyone on the team – that's all I was coaching – how focused they were, how hard the guys were playing out there, and how detailed they were." – Coach Aurich
  • "We are going to go into week two with a lot of confidence – now that we have played a game, we know what guys can do. I'm comfortable with the receivers, tight ends, o-line, running backs – really everyone. We gained a lot of confidence out of this game." – Senior Quarterback Jaden Craig
