Kristin Della Rovere ’23 Selected to Italian Hockey Olympic Roster

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's ice hockey will be represented at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina by Kristin Della Rovere '23, who will join the Italian National Women's Ice Hockey team for the tournament. A former star with the Crimson from 2018-2023, Della Rovere earned a spot on the roster after helping Italy win the Women's World 1-B Championship last year. Della Rovere is now the second Crimson alumnae to be selected to an Olympic roster, following Emerance Maschmeyer's appointment to the Canadian National Team last week.

This will be the eighth consecutive Olympic Games where Harvard women's hockey is represented in the Ice Hockey tournament, dating back to 1998. The Crimson has been represented at every single Olympic games in the sports history.

Currently rostered by the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL, Della Rovere took a brief hiatus from the league in 2024-25 to compete overseas and earn her Italian Citizen ship while playing with the EV Bozen Eagles in the EWHL. The Canada native shined in her time with the Eagles, logging 48 points and 22 goals in only 20 games played. She led the team to the playoffs where it narrowly fell in the semifinal round of the league tournament. Now, Della Rovere and the Italians will now begin preparations for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. The games are slated to begin in February and will be played in Northern Italy against the best teams in the world.

Della Rovere was a star for the Crimson in her four years with the team. The forward racked up 122 points with 56 goals and 66 assists in 128 career games while also posting 15 powerplay goals and 16 game-winners throughout her career.
