Water Polo Adds Olympian Jordan Raney to Coaching Staff

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ted Minnis, The Friends of Harvard Water Polo Head Coach, announced Monday that Jordan Raney has joined the program as an assistant coach.

"I am very excited to add Jordan to our staff," Minnis said. "She brings a wealth of playing experience, and being able to add someone who is both a quality player and a quality person is something that is very important to our water polo program."

Raney comes to Cambridge following a decorated playing career at both the collegiate and international levels. A four-time All-American at Stanford, she helped lead the Cardinal to NCAA Championships in 2015 and 2017 and made her Senior U.S. National Team debut in 2017.

At the international level, Raney has been a key contributor for Team USA, tallying five goals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and seven goals at the 2024 World Aquatics World Championships in Doha, where the United States captured gold. She recorded 13 goals at the 2023 Pan American Games and scored double-digit goals across multiple World Championships and World Cup events from 2017-23. Raney has earned numerous international gold medals, including titles at the World Championships, World League Super Finals, World Cup, Pan American Games, and Junior World Championships.

Professionally, Raney competed overseas for Olympiacos in Greece, further adding to her international playing resume.
