CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Hudson Skove won the last bout of the match to give the Crimson a come-from-behind win over the Princeton Tigers in its season debut at the MAC this afternoon.
Picking up a 5-2 decision with the meet on the line, Skove helped deliver the Crimson its first home victory over its Ivy rival since the 2008 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crimson helped set the tone early out of the gate after two early wins at 125 and 133 pounds to give Harvard an early 7-0 advantage.
Logan Brozozowski, who won both of his matches last week, picked up a 13-4 major decision before
Coleman Nogle ground out a 7-6 decision to have the Crimson off and running.
Princeton battled back to make it 7-7 in similar fashion after a major decision and an 8-6 win over
Jack Crook before Jimmy Harringon defeated Rocco Camillaci 8-1 right before the break to put Harvard back in front.
Princeton would win the next two bouts after a major decision and a fall to give the Tigers a huge 10 points and take a 17-10 lead.
With its back against the wall, the Crimson won the next three bouts all via decision after
Matthew Walsh picked up an 8-5 decision,
Dylan Greenstein picked up a 6-2 decision, and
Hudson Skove clinched the come-from-behind win with a 5-2 decision at 285 pounds.
