PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard Football first-year Nathan Bailey has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. This marks the wide receiver's second consecutive rookie honor from the league after capturing his first career award seven days ago following a standout performance at Brown.
 
As a back-to-back recipient, Bailey is the first Crimson player to accomplish the feat since Justice Shelton-Mosley in 2015. That season, the wideout/return specialist earned the award four straight weeks to end the campaign. Bailey is also just the ninth Harvard first-year to win the weekly rookie award multiple times in one season since 2002.
 
In Saturday's 20-17 win over 20/22 Colgate (coaches/media), the wide receiver totaled career highs in receptions (16) and receiving yards (187), all while scoring the winning TD on a lateral from Teigan Pelletier as time expired. Bailey's 16 catches were the most in a single game this season in the FCS and ranked second all-time in school history. His 187 receiving yards, meanwhile, were the sixth most in the FCS this year and the most by a freshman in 2026.
 
A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Bailey also contributed to other areas of the game, rushing once for two yards, returning one punt for six yards, and returning one kickoff for 19 yards. For his all-around performance vs. the Raiders, Bailey was named earlier today the Stats Perform National Freshman Player of the Week.
 
Harvard (3-0; 1-0 Ivy), which is ranked No. 18 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 19 in the AFCA rankings, returns to Ivy League action this week when it plays at Cornell (2-1; 1-0 Ivy) on Saturday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is schedule for 1 p.m. ET, with the game airing live on ESPN+.
