CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's volleyball (11-1, 2-1 Ivy) continues its road swing with a trip to New York to face Columbia (6-6, 0-3 Ivy) and Cornell (7-5, 3-0 Ivy) this weekend. The Crimson and the Lions will play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, with the match being broadcast on SNY. Harvard travels to play Cornell on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 5 p.m., and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Crimson defeated conference rival Yale in a five-set thriller on Friday, Oct. 2. As a team, Harvard set season-highs with 64 kills and 60 assists, tied a season-high 22 block assists, and posted 14.0 total blocks for the second-highest this year.

Freshman outside hitter Kayla Nwabueze logged her first career double-double against Yale, matching her career high with 13 kills and digging a career high 13 balls.

The Crimson lead the Ivy League with its 2.00 aces per set and its 0.257 team hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Sophia Rossi leads the country with 0.79 aces per set.

Senior middle blocker Ryleigh Patterson is fourth in the country and second in the conference with 1.67 blocks per set. Patterson also leads the conference and is 29th nationally with a 0.402 hitting percentage.

Freshman opposite hitter Masina Ogbechie owns a 0.339 hitting percentage, a mark that sits her eighth in the conference.

Nine different Crimson have led the way to Harvard being 34th in the country and second in the Ivy League with 2.58 blocks per set.

Although the Crimson fell to Brown on Saturday, Harvard matched its second-longest win streak in program history, winning 11 straight matches for the first time since 2014. The Crimson was one of just three undefeated teams left in the country heading into last Saturday, joining No. 1 Nebraska and No. 2 Pitt.

Harvard leads all-time meetings with Columbia 51-23 and swept the Lions in both meetings last season. Harvard trails its series with Cornell 45-31 and dropped both matches in 2025.
