Jack Crook captured a decision at 149 pounds, but Harvard University wrestling fell to Columbia University, 38-9, on Saturday afternoon at University Gymnasium.

Competing in its fourth Ivy dual meet of the year, the Crimson (4-6, 1-3 Ivy) won back-to-back bouts at 149 and 157 to pull within 15-9 in the team score before the host Lions (9-3, 4-0 Ivy) took the match's final five bouts.
Harvard Highlights
- Senior Jimmy Harrington earned a pin over No. 15 ranked Kai Owen of Columbia at 157 pounds. Harrington came up with the fall in the third period to give the Crimson six points in the team score and cut the margin to 15-9.
- Junior Jack Crook captured an 8-1 decision over No. 22 RPI ranked and returning NCAA qualifier Richard Fedalen at 149 pounds. Crook tallied a takedown in each of the second and third periods on his way to the win.
- Junior Joseph Cangro battled at 165 pounds, dropping a narrow 8-5 decision to the Lions' Cesar Alvan, nearly giving the Crimson three consecutive bout wins.Â
