CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis (4-3) will continue its homestand with another three-match weekend beginning with Buffalo on Friday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Crimson will then welcome No. 13 NC State to the Murr Center on Sunday, February 8 at 12:00 p.m. ET for the first match of its doubleheader. Harvard will close out the weekend at 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday against crosstown foe, Boston University.
What to Know
- The Crimson improved to 4-3 last weekend after picking up three wins over Purdue, Michigan, and Merrimack.
- To open the weekend the Crimson dropped the Purdue Boilermakers by winning the doubles point and then recording the first three singles wins of the day.
- Two days later, Harvard recorded its third Big Ten win of the season, battling past Michigan. The Crimson grabbed an early lead before the Wolverines responded by Harvard ultimately stole the match as Mitchell Lee provided the come-from-behind clinching win on court five.
- Nathan Blokhin has had a dominant start to his first-year campaign accumulating a 13-4 overall record including being 5-0 in the dual season. Blokhin's dominance has received national notice as the first-year ranks No. 27 in the ITA Division I Men's Singles Rankings.
- Rohan Murali is also a consistent performer for the Crimson with a 5-2 record while playing primarily at the No. 2 singles spot. For the first time in his career, Murali has entered the singles poll, ranking as the No. 34 singles player in the nation.
- Murali is also a dominant doubles player and him and Kolos Kincses are a perfect 6-0 so far this spring. Murali and Masato Perera however were ranked No. 82 in the ITA Division I Men's Doubles poll.
- This will be the fifth meeting between Harvard and Buffalo with the Crimson having won three of the four previous matchups. The Bulls won the most previous meeting, 4-3, in 2019.
- The Crimson is a perfect 4-0 against NC State, most recently defeating the Wolfpack 5-2 in 2025. This will be the fourth straight year that the two teams will face off.
- Harvard has never lost to the Terriers, holding a perfect 21-0 record against the crosstown foe.
