CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis dropped a battle to No. 20 Pepperdine and bounced back versus Bryant in a Sunday doubleheader at the Murr Center today.

How it Happened vs. Pepperdine

First against the Waves, the Crimson were locked in a battle from the opening serve. Pepperdine struck first with a 6-3 win on court three but the Crimson responded as Rohan Murali and Kolos Kincses won 6-4 at the No. 2 spot.

Nathan Blokhin and Benjamin Privara battled tightly with the No. 75 nationally ranked duo of Aleksa Pisaric and Lasse Poertner (Pepperdine) but ultimately came up short, 7-5.

Harvard began to shift the momentum in singles as Murali recorded a dominant straight-set win at the top singles spot. The junior defeated Maxi Homberg (Pepperdine), 6-1, 6-4, to give the Crimson its first point of the day.

Masato Perera then gave the Crimson its first lead of the day with another strong straight-set win at court four. The senior cruised past David Fix (Pepperdine), 6-4, 6-2.

Despite the Crimson battling on each remaining court, Perera's win would be the final of the day for Harvard.
The Waves went on to pull off three straight wins on court three, five, and six to secure its win in Cambridge.

How it Happened vs. Bryant

Harvard bounced back from its loss earlier in the day, sweeping the Bulldogs in its final home match of non-conference play.

With a pair of 6-2 decisions on court one and three, the Crimson cruised to an early 1-0 lead against Bryant.

Harvard went to work quickly, tallying three singles wins to sweep the Bulldogs. Kolos Kincses struck first, defeating Alec Martinez (Bryant), 6-3, 6-1 on court six.

James MacDonald then pulled the Crimson within a point of the victory with a 6-2, 6-2 straight-set win over George Howard (Bryant) at the No. 5 spot.

Recording his second win of the day, Masato Perera then clinched the match with a dominant 6-3, 6-0 win over Manveer Boparai (Bryant).
